Rasterové

Rasterové refers to a type of digital image represented by a grid of pixels. Each pixel is a tiny square that has a specific color value assigned to it. When viewed together, these pixels form a complete image. The resolution of a raster image is determined by the number of pixels it contains, often measured in dots per inch (dpi) or pixels per inch (ppi). Higher resolutions mean more pixels and therefore a more detailed image, but also a larger file size.

Common raster image file formats include JPEG, PNG, and GIF. These formats are widely used for photographs, web graphics, and digital art. Editing raster images typically involves manipulating individual pixels or groups of pixels. Tools like color adjustments, filters, and drawing functions directly affect the pixel data. Scaling raster images up can lead to a loss of quality, as the software has to guess at the colors for the new pixels, often resulting in a blurry or pixelated appearance. Conversely, scaling them down can also reduce detail. Raster graphics are best suited for images with complex color variations and subtle gradations, like photographs.
