Raportoitiin

Raportoitiin is a Finnish verb form—the passive past tense of raportoida—used to indicate that something was reported by someone, without naming the reporter. It is widely used in journalism and formal writing to present information indirectly.

Grammatically, raportoitiin is an impersonal passive construction. The agent is not expressed; sources can be indicated with phrases such as viranomaisten mukaan ('according to the authorities') or tutkijoiden mukaan ('according to researchers'), but the agent is not required. The term comes from raportoida (to report), which derives from the noun raportti (a report). This form is part of standard Finnish verb morphology and appears in news reports, official statements, and third-party summaries.
