Raivatas
Raivatas is a name that appears in ancient Indian literature in more than one sense, and there is no single, universally accepted definition of the term. In Sanskrit chronicles the word is used to refer to either a tribal group or a dynastic lineage, and the surviving sources provide fragmentary and sometimes conflicting information. Because of the sparsity and variability of the references, scholars offer differing identifications and there is no consensus on exactly who the Raivatas were.
