Rahastoarvot

Rahastoarvot, often translated as fund values or net asset values (NAV), represent the per-share market worth of a mutual fund or exchange-traded fund (ETF). This value is calculated by taking the total market value of all the securities held within the fund, subtracting any liabilities (such as expenses or management fees), and then dividing the result by the total number of outstanding shares. The fund's registrar or fund management company typically calculates the rahastoarvo once per trading day, usually after the market closes.

The rahastoarvo is the price at which investors buy into and sell out of the fund. When an investor buys shares of a mutual fund, they do so at the next calculated rahastoarvo. Similarly, when they redeem their shares, they receive the next calculated rahastoarvo. This differs from stocks, which trade continuously throughout the day at varying prices. The rahastoarvo fluctuates based on the performance of the underlying assets held by the fund. If the value of the fund's investments increases, the rahastoarvo will rise. Conversely, if the value of the investments decreases, the rahastoarvo will fall. Investors monitor the rahastoarvo to gauge the performance of their investment and compare it against market benchmarks.
