Rahaliste is a term used to describe adherents of Rahalism, a fictional philosophical and religious movement that appears in speculative-fiction settings. Conceived as a synthesis of rational inquiry and ethical concern, Rahalism emphasizes balancing personal freedom with social responsibility. In many world-building narratives, its origins are placed in the port city of Lethra in the late 19th century, after which Rahalist communities spread through neighboring regions via study circles, journals, and public lectures.

The name Rahalite derives from Rahal, a central figure in Rahalist texts, and is often interpreted within-world as meaning “believer in balance.” Variants such as Rahalist or Rahalistic are used across different dialects and fictional cultures. The term is typically presented without a single doctrinal creed, allowing for regional adaptations while preserving core ideas.

Core beliefs center on rational compassion, nonviolence, education, and service to others. Sacred writings include the Rahalist Corpus and its Commentaries, which scholars in the stories interpret through dialogue and debate. Practices emphasize communal study, ethical reflection, and meditation known as the Quiet Balance.
