Radongáz
Radongáz is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. It is produced from the radioactive decay of uranium, thorium, and radium, which are present in small amounts in rocks, soil, and water. Radongáz can seep into buildings from the ground through cracks in foundations, walls, and floors. It can also be released from building materials that contain radium.
Exposure to high levels of radongáz has been linked to an increased risk of lung cancer. The
Radongáz can be present in both indoor and outdoor air, but indoor concentrations are typically much higher
If high levels of radongáz are detected, mitigation strategies can be employed to reduce the concentration.
