Radiofarmaceutics

Radiofarmaceutics is a branch of nuclear medicine that deals with the development and application of radiopharmaceuticals. Radiopharmaceuticals are radioactive substances used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They consist of a radioactive isotope (radionuclide) attached to a biologically active molecule.
