RabbathAmmon

Rabbath Ammon, also known as Rabbat-Ammon or simply Rabbath, was the capital city of the Ammonites. Located in modern-day Jordan, its strategic position made it a significant center in ancient times. The city was known for its impressive fortifications and developed infrastructure. Its importance continued into the Hellenistic and Roman periods, when it was known as Philadelphia as part of the Decapolis. Under Roman rule, Philadelphia flourished as a trading hub and cultural center, boasting a well-preserved Roman theater and other public buildings that still stand today.
