ROMtípusok refers to the various types of Read-Only Memory (ROM) used in electronic devices. ROM is a type of non-volatile memory that cannot be easily modified or erased after it has been manufactured. It is primarily used to store firmware or other essential software that a device needs to boot up and operate.

The most basic form is Mask ROM, which is programmed at the factory and cannot be changed. PROM, or Programmable Read-Only Memory, can be programmed once by the user after manufacturing using a special device. EPROM, or Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory, allows data to be erased using ultraviolet light and then reprogrammed. EEPROM, or Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory, offers the ability to erase and reprogram data electrically, making it more convenient than EPROM.

More modern forms include Flash memory, which is a type of EEPROM that can be erased and reprogrammed in blocks rather than byte by byte. This allows for faster rewriting of data and is commonly found in USB drives, solid-state drives, and memory cards.
