RNADNAhybrider is a term used to describe a hybrid molecule composed of both ribonucleic acid (RNA) and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) strands. These structures can form under specific conditions, primarily through the base-pairing rules that govern nucleic acid interactions. When an RNA strand and a DNA strand have complementary sequences, they can anneal to form a double helix where one strand is RNA and the other is DNA. This is often referred to as an RNA-DNA hybrid duplex.

The formation of RNADNAhybrider structures is a significant process in molecular biology. For instance, during DNA replication, a short RNA primer is synthesized to initiate DNA synthesis. This primer temporarily forms an RNADNAhybrider with the template DNA strand.
