RHKP
RHKP stands for Royal Hong Kong Police, the police force of British Hong Kong from its establishment in 1844 until the handover of Hong Kong to China in 1997. It originated as the Hong Kong Police Force, formed by the colonial government to maintain public order and enforce laws. In 1934, it was granted the Royal prefix, becoming the Royal Hong Kong Police. The force was organized under a Commissioner and included divisions such as uniformed patrol, criminal investigations, and port and marine policing. It operated to protect the colonial administration, maintain public order, and respond to civil unrest and organized crime. Its jurisdiction covered the Crown Colony of Hong Kong, including the New Territories, Kowloon, and Hong Kong Island.
