RGBkuvaus

RGBkuvaus is a Finnish term that translates to RGB imaging or RGB photography. It refers to the process of capturing an image using the red, green, and blue color model. In digital imaging, this is the most common method for representing and displaying color. Each pixel in an RGB image is assigned a value for red, green, and blue light intensity. These values are typically expressed on a scale, often from 0 to 255, where 0 means no intensity of that color and 255 means full intensity.

The combination of these three primary colors at varying intensities can create a vast spectrum of other colors. For example, equal amounts of red, green, and blue light at full intensity produce white, while zero intensity for all three results in black. Different ratios of these primary colors create all other visible colors. RGBkuvaus is fundamental to how digital cameras, scanners, and computer displays work. When a digital camera captures an image, its sensor records the intensity of red, green, and blue light at each point. This information is then processed and stored as an RGB image file. Similarly, displays like computer monitors and televisions use red, green, and blue sub-pixels to reconstruct the colors of an image for viewing.
