RCDFIbrytere
RCDFIbrytere, often abbreviated as RCDs, are electrical safety devices designed to protect people from electric shock. They function by detecting and interrupting imbalances in electrical current. In a healthy electrical circuit, the current flowing out through the live wire should be equal to the current returning through the neutral wire. If an RCD detects a difference, it suggests that current is leaking out of the circuit, potentially through a person who has come into contact with an energized object. This leakage is referred to as a fault current.
Upon detecting such a fault current, the RCD rapidly trips, disconnecting the power supply to the affected
There are various types of RCDs, including residual current devices (RCDs) and residual current circuit breakers
