RAMSI
RAMSI, the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands, was an international security operation led by Australia to assist the Solomon Islands in restoring stability after years of ethnic tension and government fragility. It was activated in 2003 at the request of the Solomon Islands government and with support from regional partners. The mission combined military stabilization with police reform and broader governance and development activities.
