Rába

Rába is a river in western Hungary and eastern Austria, part of the Danube basin. It is roughly 250 kilometers long and flows generally eastward, passing through Szombathely in Hungary before joining the Danube in western Hungary. The river and its valleys have supported settlements, agriculture, and local economies for centuries.

Rába can also refer to the Rába Group, a Hungarian manufacturing company based in Győr. Originating in the late 19th century as a railway car and machinery works, the company developed into a diversified supplier of automotive components, including axles, drivetrains, and related systems. It has participated in broader European automotive supply chains and, over time, undergone restructuring to focus on its core industrial activities.
