Quilogramme

Quilogramme is not an officially recognized unit of mass in the International System of Units (SI). It does not appear in the catalog of SI units maintained by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM). In practice, the correct and widely used term is kilogram, with the French form kilogramme. The form quilogramme is generally regarded as a misspelling or typographical error in French or English texts, rather than a distinct unit.

There is no prefix, magnitude, or conversion factor associated with quilogramme in any standard system. Some writers or editors may employ quilogramme informally as a humorous or fictional coinage, or as a unit in science fiction or pedagogy, but such usage has no official status and should not be relied upon in formal measurement contexts.

When encountering quilogramme in documentation, the safest interpretation is that the author intended kilogramme (in French) or kilogram (in English). For precision, adopt the SI unit name kilogram and the symbol kg, and spellkilogramme in French when writing in French.
