Quedaremos

Quedaremos is a verb form in Spanish belonging to the verb quedar. It is the first-person plural (nosotros) form in the simple future tense, and it can express several related ideas depending on the sense of quedar used in a sentence. The most common meanings are “we will stay/remain,” and “we will meet” (or arrange to meet) in the near future.

In its intransitive sense, quedar means to stay or remain in a place or situation. In this use, quedaremos indicates a plan to stay somewhere for a period of time: for example, Quedaremos en el hotel durante el fin de semana, meaning “We will stay at the hotel for the weekend.” Quedar also appears in expressions of location or result, where the future form marks what will be established or left behind.

Quedar can also express plans to meet. When used with an implied object, quedaremos often translates to “we will meet” or “we will get together.” For example, Quedaremos a las ocho en la plaza means “We will meet at eight in the square.” This sense is common in informal plans among friends or colleagues.

Quedaremos is not typically used with reflexive meaning in ordinary speech, where the reflexive form would be nos quedaremos in the corresponding tense. The form thus serves as the standard future for quedar with nosotros as the subject.
