Qadisiyah
Qadisiyah, also spelled al-Qādisiyyah, is a name used for a historic battle and for a modern Iraqi governorate. The most well-known reference is the Battle of al-Qādisiyyah, fought around 636 CE near the town of al-Qādisiyyah in Mesopotamia during the early Muslim expansion.

Al-Qādisiyyah Governorate is a province in central Iraq. Its capital is Diwaniyah (also known as Ad Diwaniyah).
