QKDjärjestelmät refers to systems that implement Quantum Key Distribution. QKD is a secure communication method that leverages quantum mechanics to create and distribute cryptographic keys. Unlike traditional key distribution methods that rely on computational complexity, QKD's security is based on the fundamental laws of physics. Any attempt to eavesdrop on the quantum channel will inevitably disturb the quantum states, alerting the legitimate users to the presence of an intruder.
