QDomNodeList

QDomNodeList is a class in the Qt library that represents a list of nodes in a Document Object Model (DOM) tree. It is part of the Qt XML module, which provides functionality for parsing, manipulating, and generating XML documents. The QDomNodeList class is derived from QAbstractItemModel and implements the QModelIndex interface, allowing it to be used with Qt's model-view framework.

A QDomNodeList object is typically created by querying a QDomDocument or another QDomNodeList using the `querySelectorAll()` method, which selects nodes based on a CSS-like selector string. The selected nodes are then stored in the list, which can be iterated over using standard C++ iteration techniques or by accessing elements via an index.

The QDomNodeList class provides methods to retrieve the number of nodes in the list (`count()`) and to access individual nodes by their index (`item(int index)`). Each node returned by `item()` is a QDomNode, which can be cast to more specific node types such as QDomElement, QDomText, or QDomAttr for further manipulation.

Unlike some other DOM implementations, QDomNodeList does not support live updates—once created, the list remains static. If the underlying DOM tree is modified, the QDomNodeList will not reflect those changes. This behavior is consistent with Qt's approach to XML handling, where modifications are typically made directly to the QDomDocument, and new QDomNodeList objects are created as needed.

QDomNodeList is useful for tasks such as searching for specific elements in an XML document, filtering nodes based on criteria, or processing collections of nodes in a structured manner. It is particularly valuable when working with large XML files, as it allows efficient traversal and querying of the document structure.
