Subscribers rent a Pósthólf for a specified period, typically annually. This provides a dedicated address for mail delivery, separate from a physical residential or business address. To use a Pósthólf, a subscriber is issued a unique box number. Mail addressed to this box number is then sorted and placed inside the designated compartment at the post office.
