Pímsi is a fictional term used in world-building and speculative linguistics to denote a traditional system of communal knowledge exchange among a coastal, fictitious culture.

Etymology and language: The term is drawn from the imagined Pímsi language, where the word pímsi (with an acute on the i) designates "shared wisdom." The language is described as agglutinative, with a subject–object–verb order, and a small phoneme inventory (consonants: p, k, t, s, m, n, l; vowels: a, e, i, o, u).

Structure and practice: Pímsi refers to a rotating council of elders and skilled practitioners who deliberate on resource use, weather forecasting, and social disputes. Meetings are held weekly, decisions require broad consensus, and records are kept on palm-bark tablets, later recalled in the pímsi song.

Culture and ritual: The pímsi song or "pímsi chant" accompanies planting and harvest, reinforcing memory and encouraging communal labor. The system influenced crafts such as boat-building and weaving.
