These transfers are typically recorded as capital financing rather than operating expenditures and appear in balance sheets or capital statements.

In corporate and international finance, pääomansiirtoihin describe movements of capital between entities, such as equity injections, capital contributions, or transfers of capital assets within a corporate group, including cross-border reallocations. They are usually non-operating and non-repayable when granted as grants, or otherwise increase the capital base of the recipient. Loans are typically accounted for separately as debt.
