Päihdepolitiikan (Finnish for "drug policy") refers to the comprehensive framework of laws, social measures, and public health strategies implemented by the Finnish government to address issues related to drug abuse. Its core objectives include reducing drug-related harm, preventing substance misuse, providing accessible treatment and support services, and maintaining social order.

Finland's drug policy is characterized by a public health-oriented approach, prioritizing prevention, treatment, and harm reduction over punitive measures. Key strategies include widespread prevention education in schools, free access to drug abuse treatment programs, and robust rehabilitation support for users. The government also enforces strict regulations on the production, distribution, and possession of illegal drugs, collaborating with international bodies like the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in global drug control efforts.

Implementation is coordinated by multiple ministries—including the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health—with active partnerships between state agencies, healthcare providers, and non-governmental organizations. While Finland has made progress in lowering drug-related mortality and youth substance use rates, ongoing challenges such as the emergence of new synthetic drugs and the need for sustained funding for treatment services remain.
