Pyynikki

Pyynikki is a ridge located in Tampere, Finland. It is a prominent esker, a long, winding ridge of stratified sand and gravel, formed by glaciers during the last Ice Age. The ridge stretches for about a kilometer and reaches a height of up to 70 meters above the surrounding terrain.

The Pyynikki ridge is a popular recreational area for the residents of Tampere and a notable tourist attraction. It is covered with a dense pine forest, offering a natural and scenic environment for walking, jogging, and enjoying the outdoors. The tower is also famous for its attached café, which is renowned for its delicious doughnuts.
