Pyxidis
Pyxidis is a small constellation located in the southern sky. Its name is Latin for "pyxis" or "mariner's compass," reflecting its orientation towards the south celestial pole. Pyxidis was introduced by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille in the 18th century. It is one of the 88 modern constellations recognized by the International Astronomical Union.
