Puupellettejä
Puupellettejä, often referred to as wood pellets, are a biofuel made from compressed organic matter or biomass. They are typically produced from sawdust, wood shavings, and other wood waste generated from lumber mills, furniture factories, and other wood processing industries. The raw material is dried, ground into a fine powder, and then compressed under high pressure and temperature without the use of artificial binders. This compression process causes the natural lignin in the wood to act as a binder, holding the pellets together.
The resulting pellets are uniform in size and shape, usually cylindrical, with a diameter of about 6-8
Puupellettejä are considered a renewable energy source because the wood used in their production can be replenished
