Pushnotifikation is a communication method where an application sends alerts or messages to a user's device without the user initiating the request. These notifications appear on the device's screen, often accompanied by a sound or vibration, even when the application is not actively open.

The primary purpose of push notifications is to provide timely and relevant information to users, encouraging engagement with an app. This can include breaking news updates, promotional offers, reminders, social media interactions, or status updates for services like deliveries. Developers send messages to these services, which then deliver them to the intended devices.
