Puntazzo

Puntazzo is a genus of sea snails, specifically marine gastropod mollusks in the family Muricidae, commonly known as murex snails. The genus Puntazzo currently contains only one recognized species, Puntazzo pelecatus. This species is found in the Indo-Pacific region, inhabiting shallow marine waters.

Puntazzo pelecatus is characterized by its distinctive shell morphology. The shells are typically ovate-conical and possess several prominent axial ribs that run from the spire to the aperture.
