Puheessani

Puheessani is a Finnish grammatical phrase meaning "in my speech" or "in what I say." It is formed from the noun puhe (speech) with the inessive suffix -ssa and the first-person possessive suffix -ni, producing puheessani. The phrase is used to refer to the content, scope, or perspective of the speaker's discourse.

Morphology and usage: Puheessani combines the location indicated by the inessive case (in the speech) with possessive marking. It is used to attribute statements, opinions, or arguments to the speaker, for example when introducing what one has said or will say. It helps distinguish the speaker's own words from those of others.

Examples: Puheessani haluan korostaa, että kaikkien tulee saada yhdenvertaiset mahdollisuudet. (In my speech I want to emphasise that everyone should have equal opportunities.) Puheessani kerron kokemuksistani. (In my speech I tell about my experiences.)
