Ptychopariids
Ptychopariids are an extinct group of trilobites. They belong to the order Ptychopariida, a large and diverse order that existed from the Cambrian period to the Permian period. Ptychopariids themselves are primarily found in Cambrian and Ordovician rocks. They are characterized by a relatively smooth exoskeleton and a distinct cephalon (head) and pygidium (tail), with a segmented thorax in between. The glabella, a raised central lobe on the cephalon, is typically narrow and tapers towards the front.
