Pseidovektor is a term sometimes encountered in discussions related to pseudorandom number generation, particularly in contexts where the sequence of numbers generated exhibits a specific directional property or bias that is not truly random. The prefix "pseido-" indicates a false or deceptive quality, while "vektor" refers to a quantity having direction as well as magnitude. Therefore, a pseudovektor describes a sequence of numbers that might appear to have a preferred direction or trend, but this appearance is a byproduct of the deterministic algorithm used to generate it, rather than a genuine statistical property of randomness.

In true random number generation, sequences are expected to be free from any predictable patterns or directional biases. However, pseudorandom number generators (PRNGs) operate on mathematical formulas that produce sequences that are statistically similar to random ones for most practical purposes.
