Przemieli

Przemieli is a village in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship of south-eastern Poland. It is part of Gmina Ustrzyki Dolne, in Bieszczady County. The settlement lies in the foothills of the Bieszczady Mountains and is surrounded by forests and small meadows.

The first written records of Przemieli date to the 15th century. It developed as a rural settlement under local noble estates and remained largely agricultural through much of its history. In the late 1940s, the village experienced demographic changes associated with population transfers in the region, and its postwar development focused on rebuilding and adapting to new circumstances.

As of the early 2020s, the population is around a few hundred residents. The local economy centers on agriculture, small-scale forestry, and increasingly rural tourism. Visitors are drawn to nearby hiking trails and the scenic landscape of the Bieszczady foothills, contributing to several guesthouses and rural services in the area.

Notable landmarks include a wooden parish church dating from the 19th century and preserved traditional houses that reflect the regional architectural style. A small war memorial in the village square commemorates residents who served in the World Wars.

Przemieli is connected by local roads to Ustrzyki Dolne and other nearby towns, with bus services providing access to regional centers. Public services are administered by the Gmina office in Ustrzyki Dolne, with residents relying on neighboring towns for education, healthcare, and larger markets.
