Przeka

Przeka is a village and municipality in the fictional North Harlia Province of the country of Lyria. Located in the Dorna River valley, it sits about 35 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital. The municipality covers an area of 42 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 1,800 residents. The local economy is based on agriculture, small-scale manufacturing, and services.

The settlement dates to the 13th century, with the first records mentioning Przeka in 1276. It grew as a farming community, receiving market rights in the 16th century and building a stone church in the 17th. The arrival of the railway in the late 19th century connected Przeka to regional centers and spurred population growth. The 20th century saw modernization of farms and partial industrialization.

The landscape is flat to gently rolling, with loamy soils and a network of small streams. The agricultural sector concentrates on cereals, potatoes, and dairy farming. Woodcraft and small metal workshops contribute to local employment, while tourism centers on the historic core and seasonal events.

Praised for its market square and Baroque St. Michael Church, Przeka hosts an annual harvest festival in September. Local traditions include folk music and a summer crafts fair. The community values education, with a primary school and a secondary school in nearby towns.

Przeka is governed by a mayor and a 12-member council. It is served by regional roads and a small railway station on the Lyria–North line, with regular connections to larger cities.
