Proscribion
Proscribion is a term that has appeared in various contexts, often referring to a prohibition or ban. Historically, in Roman law, proscribere referred to the act of publicly announcing or posting a list of names, typically of individuals declared enemies of the state. These individuals, known as proscribed, forfeited their property and civil rights, and their lives were forfeit. This practice was a severe form of political and social control.
In modern usage, "proscribion" can sometimes be used more broadly to describe any official decree or law
