Probittianalyysi
Probittianalyysi is a statistical method of analyzing survival data where the probability of an event occurring at a certain time point is modeled as a function of covariates. Developed by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as a sequel to J. Thayer Snedecor's classic manual published in 1956 this method was named after Norman L. "Probit" J.
The method relies on the assumption that the distribution of times to event (e.g., death or recovery)
The input data for a probit analysis typically includes one or more covariates and a response variable
Probit analysis is particularly useful in situations where the event of interest is rare or occurs only
Despite its limitations and potential drawbacks, probit analysis remains a valuable statistical technique for modeling survival
