Priedlis

Priedlis is a rural municipality in the fictional realm of Valoria, located in the northern foothills of the Shale Mountains. It sits along the Priedlin River, about 45 kilometers north of the regional capital Dorin. The population is around 7,900. The local economy centers on dairy farming, timber, and small-scale manufacturing, with a weekly market and some tourism tied to the surrounding countryside. The town grew in the 19th century around a railway junction and preserves a late-Victorian station and several brick warehouses.

History has shaped the town since the 16th century, with formal village rights granted in 1642. The arrival of the railway in 1875 spurred growth, followed by periods of industrial change and later riverfront redevelopment in the 1990s.

Geographically, Priedlis experiences a temperate climate with an average annual rainfall of roughly 780 to 820 millimeters. The landscape includes rolling pastures, mixed forests, and the river valley. The Priedlin provides irrigation and has occasional flood risk.
