Priderites
Priderites are a genus of small, carnivorous dinosaurs belonging to the family Dromaeosauridae, commonly known as raptors. Fossils of Priderites have been discovered in the Upper Cretaceous period, dating back approximately 75 to 70 million years ago, primarily in what is now western North America. The name *Priderites* derives from the Prider fossil site in Montana, where the type species, *Priderites cristatus*, was first identified. This genus is notable for its relatively small size, with estimates suggesting it reached lengths of around 1.5 to 2 meters (5 to 6.5 feet) and weighed approximately 20 to 30 kilograms (44 to 66 pounds).
