Prestankom
Prestankom is a term used in speculative discussions of complex systems to denote a transitional preparatory state preceding a stable regime, or stankom, in which a network reorganizes in response to perturbations. In this usage, prestankom describes a period during which structure and interactions reorganize, dynamics slow, and modular relationships become more defined before the system settles into a mature configuration.
Originating as a coined compound of prefix pre- and the invented root stankom, the word is not
Characteristically, prestankom is associated with heightened sensitivity to perturbations, preparatory reconfiguration of links or connections, and
Scholars discuss prestankom to analyze resilience, adaptability, and the time scales of change in ecosystems, infrastructure
