PratovecchioStia

Pratovecchio-Stia is a comune in the Province of Arezzo, Tuscany, central Italy. It was formed on 1 January 2014 by the merger of the municipalities of Pratovecchio and Stia, as part of a regional effort to consolidate local administrations. The municipality covers part of the Casentino valley and includes the historic centers of the former towns along with surrounding rural settlements.

Geography and environment: It lies in the Casentino valley at the eastern edge of Tuscany, in a landscape of hills and forests. The area lies in proximity to the Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna National Park, and features streams, valleys, and scenic routes that attract visitors.
