Pradeshtriyas

They are traditionally associated with the trade and commerce of horses and other livestock. The term "Pradeshtriya" is derived from the Sanskrit words "pradesha," meaning "region," and "triya," meaning "to trade." Historically, Pradeshtriyas were known for their expertise in horse trading, which was a significant economic activity in the regions they inhabited.

The caste is divided into several sub-castes, including the Khatri, Bania, and Vaishya. Each sub-caste has its own specific roles and responsibilities within the community.
