Powierzy

Powierzy is a Polish verb form meaning “will entrust” or “to entrust.” It is the third person singular future tense of the perfective verb powierzyć, which denotes the act of handing over responsibility, tasks, or authority to someone else. In contrast, the imperfective counterpart powierzać has present tense forms such as powierza, and its future is formed differently, often with auxiliary constructions.

Morphology and forms: powierzy is used with a third-person subject in the future, for example, "On powierzy mu zadanie" (He will entrust the task to him). The corresponding imperfective form is powierzać, whose third-person present is powierza (He entrusts). The first person and other persons have their own future forms in powierzyć (ja powierzę, ty powierzysz, my powierzymy, wy powierzycie, oni powierzą).

Usage and nuance: powierzy is common in formal, administrative, or bureaucratic language, where a person or institution assigns a task, duty, or authority to another.
