Postrotations

Postrotations refer to the rotational movements that occur in a system after an initial rotation has been completed. These are distinct from the primary rotation itself and can arise due to various physical principles. In aerospace, for example, postrotations can describe the residual yawing motion of an aircraft after a roll maneuver. This occurs because the roll is not perfectly instantaneous and the aerodynamic forces acting during the roll can induce a yawing moment that persists after the aircraft has returned to level flight.
