Portiuncula
Portiuncula is a small chapel located within the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels in Assisi, Italy. It is of immense significance to the Franciscan Order, as it is believed to have been the place where Saint Francis of Assisi founded his order in 1209. The chapel is also the site where Saint Francis died on October 3, 1226.
