Portici
Portici is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Naples in the Campania region of Italy, located on the northern slopes of Mount Vesuvius. It is situated on the Bay of Naples, about 8 kilometers southeast of the city of Naples. Portici has a significant historical and cultural heritage, most notably being the site of the Royal Palace of Portici. This palace was built in the mid-18th century for Charles VII of Naples and became a favorite royal residence. It later housed the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II.
