Geography and society: The Porian homeland is described as an archipelago in the eastern sea, with fertile coasts and coral harbors. They are traditionally maritime traders; social structure is based on kinship clans, with elder councils guiding communal decisions. Major settlements center on harbors and markets, and Porian craft traditions are noted for boatbuilding, weaving, and metalwork.

Language: The Porian language is usually depicted as agglutinative with a subject–object–verb word order. It features a rich system of nominal classifiers and a pronoun-inclusive voice system. The writing system is called the Porian script, a syllabary derived from pictographic signs and adapted for sea navigation terms.

History and culture: In-world histories describe migrations, contact with neighboring groups, and periods of maritime expansion. Cultural traits emphasize navigation, astronomy, storytelling, and ritual calendars tied to tides and celestial events. Folklore often highlights sea deities and ancestral kinship figures who oversee ships and harbors.
