Morphology and formation: pontosíthatja emerges from the stem pontosít- (to make precise) by adding the potential suffix -hat/-het and the definite-object suffix -ja/-je. The result is a third-person singular form that denotes “he/she/it could make [it] precise.” Because of the definite-object ending, the direct object must be definite in the sentence (for example, a specific report or diagram).
