Polüvinülkloriidist

Polüvinülkloriidist, commonly known as PVC, is a widely used synthetic plastic polymer. Its chemical formula is (C₂H₃Cl)n. PVC is produced through the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer. The presence of chlorine atoms in its structure gives PVC unique properties, such as its rigidity and resistance to chemicals and weathering.

PVC can be manufactured in two main forms: rigid (uPVC) and flexible. Rigid PVC is used in applications where strength and durability are paramount, such as window frames, pipes, and siding. Flexible PVC, on the other hand, incorporates plasticizers to increase its pliability and is found in products like electrical insulation, flooring, and medical tubing.
