Polüstüreenkihtide

Polüstüreenkihtide refers to expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam boards, a common building and insulation material. These boards are made from small polystyrene beads that are expanded with steam and then molded into rigid sheets. The manufacturing process creates a cellular structure filled with air, which is an excellent insulator.

Polüstüreenkihtide are lightweight yet strong, making them easy to handle and install. They are widely used in construction for thermal insulation in walls, roofs, and floors, helping to reduce energy consumption and improve building comfort. Their closed-cell structure also provides some resistance to moisture, although they are not waterproof and can absorb water over time.

In addition to building insulation, these foam boards are also utilized in packaging to protect fragile goods during transport. Their shock-absorbing properties make them an effective cushioning material. Polüstüreenkihtide can also be found in crafting and hobby projects due to their ease of cutting and shaping. They are generally cost-effective compared to other insulation materials. However, like all polystyrene products, they are flammable and require appropriate fire protection measures when used in construction. Recycling of EPS is possible, though collection infrastructure can vary.
