Polüpiimhape

Polüpiimhape, often abbreviated as PLA, is a biodegradable and compostable thermoplastic polyester derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, sugarcane, or cassava. It is produced through the polymerization of lactic acid, which can be obtained from the fermentation of sugars. PLA is a popular material in the bioplastics industry due to its low environmental impact compared to traditional petroleum-based plastics.
